Scottish Yarn came into being in 1997 to service the needs of the Sunshine Coast Qld community. In 2007 we had a name change to "A Scottish Yarn" clarifiying the concept that no matter how many generations removed we of Scots blood love a good 'yarn', for us personally it also represents the greatest Scottish Yarn of all that of Greyfriars Bobby.  
 
We attend many of the Highland Gatherings and festivals, and relish in the comraderie that belonging to such a unique community brings (and any excuse for Ian to wear his kilt! ). Our Skye Terrier 'Fraza' is our constant companion and has become a familiar sight at the gatherings where he is a great ambassador for his breed.  
 
Confident that we not only offer a wide range of quality genuine products but also a customer service reflecting a wealth of history and knowledge, we decided to launch this website.
