DMD's is a small and successful gym located in East Brunswick, inner northern Melbourne. The gym offers training in boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and BJJ. The gym equipment are also available for casual use, kids karate classes take place twice per week, there are women-only fitness classes, and bootcamp classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Students at the gym each began with a different degree of fitness and level of ability; however, all came with the goals to improve their abilities and become stronger individuals. The goal of DMD's Mixed Martial Arts is to help all students achieve their goals.
There is a diverse range of students at DMD's; male and female, young and not-so-young, many backgrounds and walks of life. It is this diversity that gives the gym its inclusive and accepting atmosphere.
David d'Aversa, the head instructor, has trained for over 20 years and has owned and been head instructor of DMD's for over ten years. David is a professional kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter, competing in Australia and Thailand. He currently holds and is defending four Victorian belts in various weight categories. This wealth of knowledge and experience is brought to each class David teaches.
Personal training is available by appointment and the gym equipment is available for use on a casual basis. |
