manager Brett Craig. Commencing the business at just 21 years of age with very little self-funded financial support was a courageous endeavor. Now at 42, Brett looks back on those humble beginnings with gratitude for the youthful enthusiasm that inspired him to where he is today. One of the most satisfying things is to be able to work with beautiful woods and make furniture that people will enjoy for a life time and generations to come, says Brett. Although Brett does not get much hands on work these days, his passion for manufacturing beautiful furniture and commitment to the highest standards is permeated in all facets of the business.

Standard Ensemble Beds

Standard Inner Spring Mattresses and Ensembles have changed little over the last century. Basically they consist of a Steel Spring support structure which is then surrounded by a series of thick Synthetic Foam layers and coverings. Unlike 100% Natural Latex, synthetic materials have poor breathing ability which can negatively effect your sleeping comfort and ultimately the hygiene of your sleeping conditions. Synthetic materials are difficult to recycle and are not biodegradable and also contain a lot of chemical ingredients which are bad for both your health and the environment. Their rigid construction is not very flexible or responsive and is noisy, causing partner disturbance and personal discomfort. Their design is based on a fixed and enclosed box construction which offers no independent support system or adjustment for individual needs.

Posture Slat Beds

The European designed Posture Slat is an upward curving laminated timber slat. It was developed over half a century ago, following research that showed that metal springs were not conducive to good health. If good health was going to be a priority then a suitable alternative was needed and so the wooden sprung posture slat was introduced to replace the steel spring. This sparked a revolution of new ides and concepts about bedding sleeping arrangements. The Posture Slats were typically fitted to an open frame construction which made them easily accessible to the user having obvious advantages. Not only could cleaning and maintenance be done easily and thoroughly, but with simple added features, the system could be split into two separate and adjustable slat support systems, allowing each person the flexibility to fine tune the support to there own unique needs.
