Michael Grounds established the company that carries his name in 1978. He started his business in a small workshop, working by himself, later employing another jeweller who is still with him today. 
 
 
Business steadily built up by word of mouth due to the quality, reliable service and competitive prices offered by the company. As demand grew more space was required to service this demand, hence the move to Thomastown in 1992.
