The name Haigh’s has been synonymous with fine chocolates since 1915 and we are very proud to be the oldest family-owned chocolate manufacturing retailer in Australia. 
 
Our uncompromising commitment to the traditional art of fine chocolate making has been recognised over many years with a string of Championship Awards at the Royal Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide shows. 
 
Our company was founded in Adelaide, South Australia by Alfred E Haigh and has been successfully run by his son Claude, grandson John, the present chairman, and great-grandsons Alister and Simon, who are joint managing directors. 
 
At Haigh’s we pride ourselves on being one of the very few manufacturing retailers in the world still making chocolates from raw cocoa beans, and more than half of our chocolates are handmade, using artisan skills that require many years of experience to perfect. 
 
We believe the only way to guarantee quality and freshness is to maintain total control - from sourcing the beans from plantations around the world to retailing only in company-owned stores. Having our own retail stores gives us the utmost control over how the chocolates are stored and presented. We can also make sure that the customer always receives the very best service.
