How to Get There 
From Newcastle city centre it is a twenty five minute drive to the Airport via Industrial Drive and Nelson Bay Road. It can also be accessed via Tomago Road and Richardson Rd both of which run off the Pacific Highway north of Hexham Bridge. 
 
Newcastle Airport is signposted from the Pacific Highway which passes through Newcastle and across Port Stephens. The airport entrance is sited on Nelson Bay Road.

About the Area 
 
Newcastle is New South Wales' second largest city and is located at the base of the Hunter Valley at the mouth of the Hunter River, approximately 150km north of Sydney.  
 
Adjacent to Newcastle is Port Stephens which has as its main administrative centre, the town of Raymond Terrace, situated on the Pacific Highway and surrounded by several historic rural villages and towns.  
 
It is also a popular seaside holiday destination and includes the towns of Nelson Bay, Soldiers Point, Salamander, Shoal Bay, Lemon Tree Passage and Tanilba Bay.
