History 
C.W.Ottaway & Co. 
 
C.W.Ottaway & Co. commenced trading on the 31st of January 1923 at 46 Grenfell Street, Adelaide. Charles Weir Ottaway had previously worked for F. Basse & Co. Adelaide’s Vice-Regal Jewellers which closed in 1923. 
 
In 1983 the site was demolished to make way for the City Cross Arcade and consequently the business was relocated to its current address at 90 Pirie Street, Adelaide on the corner of the vine covered Chesser Street.  
 
C.W.Ottaway & Co. are Jewellers and Silversmiths offering fine quality products with traditional service and integrity.
