Smithfield Centre is a sub-regional shopping centre situated just 15 km north of Cairns International Airport on the corner of the Captain Cook and Kennedy Highways. 
 
The centre is conveniently located at the gateway to the Cairns Beaches, Cairns Highlands and Port Douglas and is proudly managed by DEXUS Property Group.The original centre first opened in 1986, and has undergone one major extension since then in 1996 to create the northern mall, link way and food court.
