Variety – The Children’s Charity is dedicated to helping sick, disabled and disadvantaged children.  
 
Welcome to Tent 77, the Victorian tent of Variety International, the world’s greatest Children’s charity. Our commitment is simple: To better the quality of life for our Special Needs Children.  
 
We do this through the provision of equipment, facilities and life experiences. We do it by operating a straightforward and transparent Grants program which draws on the funds raised through our Events, Road Events, Sponsorships and Donations. But we can’t do it without the network of volunteers and contributors who play such a vital role in the life of Variety. 
 
Everyone can help. 
 
Our roots are in the entertainment industry but our core is the community. People from all walks of life, throughout the state, can contribute and experience the joy of helping a Special Needs child.  
 
In order to set out the Vision for the next year and beyond – we need to recognize where we are now. In the last year we have moved to a permanent office facility, introduced new event based revenue streams, expanded our staff and ensured that our general operations are professional and accountable.  
 
We have also demonstrated our capability to deliver tangible programs of activity to the community by way of Variety@Work. 
 
The Board of Management and Staff have been keen to make sure that our contributors and supporters not only know where their money goes but why we choose the recipients that we do.  
 
Tent 77 has also increased its number of substantive partnerships with organisations such as Australia’s number one Talk Radio Station 3AW, Waterfront City, ING Real Estate, RACV Insurance and many others. 
Through our Entertainers of the Century project we have also increased our attraction to celebrities, entertainers and the media at large. All in all – building a solid base by ‘doing’.
